Over 150 young people between the ages of 12 and 25 have been involved as Festival Makers, inspiring and organising the festival and some will also be running it, acting as Stewards, performing and acting as Festival Maker reporters!
There are 17 workshops and three evening events over the 4 days! Some are FREE and otherwise, no event or activity is above £5. There is something for everyone, whether you enjoy music, dance, theatre, gaming or art! Come and try something different…
This January will see groups of Festival Makers across the South Kesteven district and surrounding areas, all aged between 12 and 25, begin to choose the events and activities that they want to see happen as part of LOV Festival in April. LOV Festival will be a four day cross art-form festival of theatre, music, film, art, design, craft, dance and comedy across Stamford Arts Centre and Guildhall Arts Centre in Grantham.
LOV Festival wants to support new and emerging artists. Are you a solo musician or in a band? Are you a young theatre or dance company? Are you a filmmaker, a workshop leader, an artist or a photographer? Are you a young artist or maker?
We are looking for expressions of interest from artists and workshop leaders based in the East Midlands who would like to be considered by the young ‘Festival Makers’. We are looking for people who are passionate about working with young people and helping to develop their skills at a professional level and artists who can bring something new and exciting that the young people may not have experienced before.
