If you’re young or a student, we’ll try to make it as cheap as possible for you to visit us (because we’re nice like that.) Did we mention that entrance to The Collection/ Usher Gallery and the National Centre for Craft and Design is completely free? Can’t get cheaper than that.
Wherever you are in the county, they’ll be an offer that you can make the most of, so have a look at what you can get your hands on.
Cheaper tickets for young people/ students:
Someone told us they thought ‘student’ just meant university students, but it doesn’t! If you’re still at school or college then it applies to you. If there’s a ‘concession’ ticket price that also usually applies to young people aged 16 (sometimes 18) and under, so it’s worth asking about it when you book tickets. Here’s a list of discounted rates for young people at the LOV Venues:
– For many shows, The Terry O’Toole Theatre in North Hykeham do student tickets for £5, LPAC do student tickets for £7, The South Holland Centre in Spalding do tickets for Under 26s at £7.50 (if not cheaper.) Places like Lincoln Drill Hall, The Embassy Theatre in Skegness, Stamford Arts Centre and the Guildhall Arts Centre in Grantham also have student/ concession rates, but they vary from show to show so make sure you check out their websites for great deals.
But that’s not all…
There are some special schemes going on across the county and we’re constantly developing them to give you the best deals. Check these out …
If you want up to the minute, exclusive offers and discounts across ALL the LOV Venues, then make sure you’re signed up to our texting service. Just text ‘LOV’ to 88802 and we’ll send exclusive ticket offers and info about events straight to your mobile. The first text you send will be charged at your standard network rate but after that the texts you receive are free, you can opt out any time and the exclusive info & deals you’ll receive for being part of it are absolutely brilliant.
Never been before? Sign up to their mailing list and you’ll receive 2 free tickets to any professional show at the Guildhall so you can get a feel for the place. They also do Student Standby Tickets for a tiny £2, so if you turn up on the night for a professional show and they’ve got seats left, you just might bag a bargain. If you’ve got a student card or a form of I.D with your age on it make sure you bring it along just in case.
Aged 16-26? Then we’ve got a special deal for you. On selected shows each season Stamford Arts Centre offer a number of seats to people signed up to the scheme for just £3.50 (normal priced tickets can be over 3 times this much, it’s madness!)
You can register to be part of the scheme right here.
The South Holland Centre is in the process of developing a snazzy new ticket scheme for Under 26s, and they’re asking you to help them create it! Take a look at this page to see how you can get involved in their new U26 Takeover Forum and have your say about the new ticketing scheme. Alternatively e-mail Anna Wilson at firstname.lastname@example.org with your ideas!
It’s not about the money, money, money…
We know sometimes obstacles other than ticket prices might stop you from coming to see a show or visiting a venue, whether it’s things like transport or the time that shows are on. If you have anything that stops you coming to us, please let us know by leaving us a comment on this page, and if you have ideas about how we could change this, we’d love to hear them too.
